This portrait received the second place award on the miniatures category at the Scottsdale Artist School Best & Brightest Juried Show and Sale 2018 (Feb 8th - March 31st). This is the portrait of my sweet Bubulina, my oldest and wisest cat. As a Maine Coon mix, she has always had longer hair and curly whiskers, but in her old age they curiously have developed the tendency to curve upwards. They remind me of the mustache of the artist Salvador Dali, hence the painting title. Rest In Peace my sweet baby (2003-2022).
